This week is lined up with some powerful events that you might want to get out and experience. Starting first on Wednesday with an open mic event that is very relaxed and chilled. So relaxed and chilled, it’s actually called Relaxed & Chilled. For the longest now, after a person practiced in the privacy of their own home, the next thing to do was to take it to a location to where the people would be able to hear so that they could get some feedback on their talent. This is also the opportunity to be discovered by talent scouts that found it easy to just fall into the local place that hosted these events and scavenged for artist that could really rock and move the room. The open mic still stands as this opportunity for any talent that wished to grace the stage for the opportunity to get there feet wet, or to plug into an exposure opportunity that would provide the artist the chance to move on to larger levels with their talent. The times have changed a little, being that social media is the way that it is, an an artist if they know how to use the tool can make it big from that alone. Nevertheless, social media is not being used as a tool of manipulation of the talents and the open mic still has the need to really see what a talent has to offer. With that being said, If you have the opportunity to hit the open mic to show what you really have, the best way to do it is live and in living color. Next up is all of this NOISE! We know you hear it! Po’ Boys & Poets Nashville brings you the entertaining show from the professional spoken word artist, as well as the open mic experience from those that really want to get into this field of entertainment. I must admit, there have been some amazing talents that have graced this stage since this has been going on. Talents like Lyrical Jay, Jamal Ukwu, Freeman, Unpacked Bags, Forlanda Anderson, and the list just goes on and on. Many features have hit this stage since it has been happening. Features like Komplex Simplicity, Christine Hall, Honest Lewis, and the list of these names just go on and on. Then you have to get into the list of actual members of the group that bring you the show. Let’s just say this. It is a lot of noise being made and if you are not in the building to see it, you are missing out on a powerful potentially life changing experience. In efforts to avoid you missing out on that opportunity, I’m posting this event right here for you to know about and attend. Moving right along to a Saturday Brunch Affair Event known as Waffles, Wine, & Words. This is an amazing event   bringing the fun of food, wine, and spoken word together for a powerful moment. You have Three Kings in the spoken word arena that are going to bring you the hardest hitting things they have. Truthfully this is an event that will be catering to the Queens but we encourage the kings to come out and experience the moment as well. If nothing else enjoy the art form and difference that each of these artist are going to being as they speak their truths. The feature for this event are Frizzy, B.A. the Lewe, and Virghost. These artist has been at it for a few years now, traveling around and displaying their talents, and if you haven’t heard them yet in person, then you are missing out. This is a day time event, so you don’t have to worry about being out late, and plus did I mention that there will be food. Poetry is always more fun when it involves food, and eating, and tasting. Wait a minute, I think I just got a little off track here. What I’m trying to say is, come out to Waffles, Wine, & Words and experience this magical moment.

Last but surely not least we have a collaboration with Frizzy Productions & The Connoisseur with an event known as Chocolate Wine & Music Live at Jazzy Teacher. This is a evening event starting at 7pm. This is Live Art, Live Poetry/Spoken Word, & Live Music. More about this event and tickets can be found on eventbrite. Don’t say that you haven’ been informed. There you have it. The week that we are looking into with FRIZZY PRODUCTIONS. Choose your event and get out and enjoy the night, or day. The process after your form is submitted.

1. If everything is filled out correctly, you will be notified via e-mail of an invoice to pay for the plan that you have selected on the form.
2. If there are any issues with your completed form you will not receive that invoice but rather you will receive an e-mail acknowledging the issues that need to be corrected.
3. Once you have paid the invoice your item will be added to the shelf for others to see.

True Story is one of my creative ways chosen to put messages out that need to be heard. This is a creative approach of me taking the images that I take, combined with words that I write to provoke thought, all for the purpose of creating change both within the environments of physicality and psychologically.

For instance, take a look at the picture and the words within. Does this say anything to you? Can you relate to the mentality that you have about it? What stance do you take? Do you fight against the people? Why do you fight against the people?

This level of thinking is the thought process that happens within the minds of those that are conscious fully. All of the above questions have answers if we are willing to take the time out to answer them. Now trust and believe me, I know that it takes time and that some people don’t have the patience to put forth that effort to use the time to do it. Crazily even that situation is a fight of the environment. You are not that way because you choose to be that way. Some things have made you unconsciously that way. If we could alter those things this would not even be of you.

So understand me when I say this. “Even for you I fight. That’s not your fault!”
