If you have ever had a question about it, then I shouldn’t have to tell you where you need to be.
It seriously is. The skin that you are in, your vessel or body, however you would like to refer to it as, is built with natural receptors of what we call and understand to be sensory. It automatically does things by itself that you would be able to notice if you were truly in tune with self.
My post to this group was this; “Security!!!! Name places in Nashville that people should be scared to go after dark, and Go!”I’m glad you asked. Know and accept this truth as harsh as it may be. It is the ignorant minds that really think that you should not be scared to walk, roam, or be in certain places after dark. It’s not safe at times in the day, but it is a proven fact that the night helps provide cover to complete a criminal activity. Especially in this day and time where even cameras can’t provide enough visual evidence to show what needs to be seen in the dark. The number of crimes unsolved you can’t imagine because it is not smart for them to show you that side of the story. We need to at least put on the perception of safety, is the thought of those in power. I’m not sharing stuff like this to be problematic. I share my words and my thoughts to shed light on things that are kept in the dark. What you don’t know is a big problem when it comes to your safety.

This event is known as “Jazz With DADS.” DAD’s is the acronym for the non profit organization meaning, Dad’s Against Destruction. Dads Against Destruction Inc. (DADS) was founded in 2014 by Phil Hawkins, a native of Nashville, TN. DADS is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. DADS was not started intentionally as an organization but as a desire and passion to assist other fathers faced with similar situations Mr. Hawkins has experienced over the years. Despite the personal challenges involving the correctional system, being a father, and the child support system, Mr. Hawkins’ efforts to assist his own son expanded to other fathers within the local communities of metro Nashville. With all this being said and understood, things are happening within the community to get things rolling in the right direction, and you have the opportunity to be a part of just that. In my community, there has been this saying about scared money. Most of the times it was while gambling during a dice game or a card game. Not saying that I’ve done any of those things. LOL! (I Plea the 5th!) Nevertheless the saying has been created, and is ever so true, especially when it comes to investing.
The word investing is scary when you have to understand that you take a chance on putting something up that may not come back to you. Whats really crazy is that when it comes back to you, it is most of the time greater than the amount that was put in. That happens to be what is known as the Risk. If the risk wasn’t hi, the return of the investment wouldn’t feel so good or return so much back to you.
So the truth is that many people wouldn’t put their money on the wood,….. I mean into an investment from the fear of loosing, especially if it is the very last thing that they have. That money becomes scared!

We touched on a couple of topics dealing with the justice system, and environments because clearly in a lot of my poems you will hear me mentioning things from my perspective in them. The pieces that I performed are titled; “I’m Sorry”, “Broken”, and “A Message To You”.
The pieces have a powerful meaning behind each one of them that you should be able to hear. I will not spoil it for you. Take the time to watch it yourself. Feel free to ask me any questions that you may have from the conversation that was carried on, or if you need anymore clarification on something that I answered. I’m an open book. I’m a man on a mission to get things right for us all. As you listen, please give me feedback.

You heard it right. Open Mic! But there is something a little bit different about this one. This mic is open with a purpose. This mic is open with many purposes.
Many people are aware of what the open mic is suppose to do. This is the opportunity for performers to take the stage and show a crowd what they got. Within the open mic portion the person hitting the mic is suppose to be using the opportunity to grow and advance their skills and go from being a beginner and new face, to someone who is well known in the game. It does start at home or in the comfort space that you choose, but the real challenge always comes when you do it in front of a crowd.
Everyone can be the comedian, singer, poet, public speaker, entertainer in the shower right? Can you do it in the eye of the public. That is the challenge that those who really dream big have to face. Enough talking about it, how about being about it. The mic is open for a reason.
Speaking of reasons, lets look at some. Practice makes things perfect, or I should probably say better every time. The open mic is your time to practice. This is one benefit that a person should get from hitting the mic. It is a needed process in getting comfortable in doing the things that one wants to do. So for those aspiring singers, poets, spoken word artist, and entertainers, this is your time to really tweak the things that you want to say, sing, or do.
Another benefit of the mic being open that you should benefit from is exposure. You never know who will be at an event of this magnitude who can work with you and potentially make things better for you. They are known as talent scouts. They are people that come just to see what is out there, and what they can potentially work with in their business. Yet another reason to hit up open mics.
The thing that I love best even when I perform at open mics is the opportunity for feed back. Get someone else’s opinion on it. Find out what they see and the potential things that you need to work on. They call this constructive criticism. This is definitely a need in hitting up a open mic opportunity. Don’t be afraid to ask people what they thought about your performance. One other way you can find out if what you did really has an impact, don’t ask anyone. See if they come up to you afterwards. That’s a clear sign that you might be onto something. Of course on the other side, if they don’t, that may be a clear sign that you need to turn up the volume a little bit. That’s not always the case though. Sometimes you end up in a room full of greats and being human we can only react to so many at one time. So judge the people around that has also performed and gauge the response you want to receive from that.
So what is so different about this open mic that is not the same as any other open mic? Glad you asked. LOL! This mic is in a more relaxed and chilled atmosphere allowing those critical moments you need for growth to happen, if this is what you want to do. What better way to learn than in front of the public, but feel like you are at home. That is one major difference. Another is the organizer of the mic and the future opportunities that they can offer to you. Sometimes you can be standing right in front of a person that is connected and not even know it. No one just walks around with a Frizzy on their chest right. LOL! Pay attention and make sure that you network in the arena to see what opportunities are there. After all that is what networking is.
Another thing that is different about this mic is the fact that it steps outside of the norms of society. Yes it is known that an open mic caters towards the arts. This one does that and more. When you say arts to some, the mind goes to poetry, spoken word, singing, comedy, rapping, the basic things right. Well this mic adds in some extras. Are you a public speaker or aspiring to be? Bring it to the mic! Are you a business owner? Bring it to the mic! You got something that you just want to get off of your chest? Well,….. what can I say. Bring it to the mic! I told you that it was relaxed and chilled. I encourage speaking. It is a lot better than holding it in.

Just when you think that you have made it to a better point in life, something like this comes along and shows you that one of two things have happened. Either you made it out of this part and decided to go back, or you never really left out of this part of life, it just seemed for the moment that you did. Either way the fact still remains that we are here, in the same place that we have been before, spinning our wheels and gaining no ground due to a system keeping its’ cycle in full effect, and so many don’t even see it. I hash tag to you (#SurvivingRKelly).
Time has come again, to where yet another person of fame has been thrown to the wolves of the ignorant. Leaving their judgement in the hands of those who emotionally have no control. Those who allow their flaw of being human, filled with emotions and feelings, to carry them off into a state of mind that is totally unjust. Allowing the things that they have seen with there flawed eyes, and heard with their flawed ears, to be the thing to push them over into an unrighteous judgement, as it was suppose to do in the first place. The test has been performed many times to see how many would fall victim to choosing wrongly over, and over again, based on information that they were fed. It is true that if I give you everything that I want you to know, and you don’t do any research beyond that thing that has been giving to you, whether it be because you are lazy and don’t want to do the work or that you just don’t have the time in your busy life to do the investigation, that you would make the decision that I need you to make.
This is the thing best known as media control. When they feed you information in whatever form that they want to feed you, ignorantly you eat it up. You claim to be conscious but you are fully asleep. Flexing and bending in the direction that they need you to bend in effort for them to have full control of you. I’m aware that many of you as you read this will immediately have doubts about any of this in which I am speaking, but I’m already aware of why that doubt exist. They even gave that to you. You’ll believe that you have free will, but will not have a clue about what free will actually is. Now, I’m not really saying this to be offensive to you, but rather to show you truth. And no, I’m not worried about your feelings because I already know that they are in a particular place that I would probably have to hold you down from your rage, which depends on situations that you may have been in, in your own life. I sympathize with you if this is you, but even still I can not allow you to take that anger out on everyone that they tell you to take it out on. That would be me allowing you to be weak when I need you to be strong.
Nevertheless, here we are. In yet another situation to where the opinion of the public proves that we will forever keep setting up a system of being guilty until proven innocent while pretending that they are innocent until proven guilty. Arresting and detaining a man based off of allegations instead of finding out facts to hold them accountable to. We to often forget that man attempted to be smart enough to put something in place called Lady Justice, and put a blindfold over her eyes so that she could not be judgemental of the things that she would see, but for some odd reason she just keeps peeking from underneath that blindfold and treating people unfairly. Or maybe it’s because we should have plugged her ears with something until the time was near for her to listen to the things that were resurrected as fact. Truth be told, if any judge sitting on any bench listens to the things in which the people are acting out of emotion from, that judge needs to remove themselves from the case because at that point their judgement is bias.
We as people forget that we have decided to put a person in place that is suppose to be responsible for our judgement as a whole. A person that is bias and sitting there, not only listening but also watching the people as they testify to questions asked. A person that is suppose to not only judge the answer that is given, but the way the answer is given. Watching every emotion from the person testifying to validate their response of sworn truth that is expelled out of this person’s mouth, and have the intent of holding a person who attempts to manipulate the court under any circumstances to the charge of perjury when caught in a lie. This is suppose to be the entire purpose of the judge. The power that sits in a court and represents justice for the people, but it seems that the people don’t need the judge any longer, for we have made it our responsibility to be the decision maker.
Since you are a people feeling the way that you do, than why not just admit the fact that you feel this way and say that you don’t have any faith in a justice system any longer. Say that the media has played on your emotions long enough that you rather side with the media than to try to find out any truth within any given situation. Say that you have no control of the way that you respond due to situations that you yourself have been in and that because you have been in that situation you feel this way about it. Label yourself of why you drift in a certain direction based off of the things that you have been exposed to in your environment.
Be bold enough to state that you don’t have faith in the justice system and that you don’t have this faith for whatever your reasoning is, and if you need someone to show you how to do this allow me to be the example. I don’t have faith in the justice system. It’s not because of the media pull though. It’s actually because I worked in the justice system. I can tell you that the media, has always been wrong. -Frizzy
